I’m SURE you know the best method for achieving anything you want…

it’s simply setting & then following through on a goal!
This is part 3 of my 7 part series on how to Create an Amazing Web Site! It’s also available on iTunes. This entire series is also available in an eBook on our Web Site.
We’ve been helping people create web sites since the web became popular in 1995, and…
no matter who we meet with, the core goal of every site generally falls into one of three categories:
- Create more awareness (generally for non-profits, churches, organizations, etc.),
- Create more leads (75% of the sites we create have this as their core goal), or
- Create more sales (specifically, on-line through e-Commerce).
The most important part of defining your core goal is setting your target, if you want to:
- Create awareness – create a target number of visits per week (i.e. 100 visits/wk),
- Create more leads – create a target number of leads received per week (i.e. 10 leads/wk),
- Create more on-line sales – create a target sales amount per week (i.e. $1000/wk).
For on-line sales, it’s actually best to create a target amount of profit per week (i.e. $250 profit/wk). Remember, simply put: profit = sale price – cost of goods, labor & shipping.
It’s very important to write down your core goal, and post it!
In my last tip, I’ll review exactly how you’ll be able to automatically measure your success.
Here’s to goal setting!
