Step 3 - Go International with Ecademy

Our Services, Results, Your Feedback Add comments

Tapping into the international market is generating huge results for many here in Southwest Florida.

Here are a few examples:

  • People I know are receiving lease payments from people in England, Denmark, France and Italy.
  • Vacation bookings on Sanibel, Captiva, and Fort Myers Beach continue to have consistent European bookings, even with the recent downturn in consumer spending.
  • Investment money is flowing in from England and Germany in our commercial & residential real estate markets.

Now, more than ever, international business networking and promotion plays a big part in creating more business with our current economic condition.

So, how can you create more business with that in mind?

A highly successful method people have been using is an online business networking site called Ecademy.

Like LinkedIn, it’s a social network primarily for business people.   Ecademy has a much more international mix of people, and let me tell you — they are generally very friendly & helpful.

It doesn’t take long to get to know a few people, and see if there’s anyway you can help each other.

Ready to get started?

Here you go:

  1. Join Ecademy.
  2. Add me, and any other friends or colleagues.
  3. Search Ecademy clubs for your industry (ex: “Real Estate”).
  4. Read 10 posts, add the author as a connection only if you feel comfortable with them (was their post helpful, did it speak directly to you, do you think you’d feel comfortable talking with them)?
  5. Your goals is to add 5 connections.
  6. Now, introduce yourself to those connections.
  7. Wait and watch for replies!

Let me know if you have any questions, or need help.   Also, if you make connections that help your business, please tell us by adding a comment below!
