Your post really hits home. We've been cutting the computers too. It's amazing how Powerbooks are now as powerful as many of the Towers. For our conference room imac I set up a scheduled shut-down each night and start-up in the morning. (Pref > Energy Saver > Schedule ...) With the savings on all the extra computers and electric you can afford to get a nice Mac once/year (just so long as the economy comes back soon ;-) Talk to you soon buddy. Thanks Charly. Back then we called it "conservation." Our parents taught us to turn out the lights as we left a room, and not to leave them on in rooms we weren't in. They taught us to turn down the thermostat at night during the months we heat the home (blankets don't cost anything once they've been purchased). They had us put on a sweater or a flannel shirt instead of turning the heat up during the day. They taught us to consolidate travel so we weren't wasting gas for unnecessary trips. Turn off the water while brushing. Keep showers short. etc. . . Yesterday we weren't being wasteful. Today we throw in a few low consumption light bulbs and we call it "going green."
