“How do you make money online?”

Once people realize I’m in the web design and development business, I usually get asked that question in some shape or form.

There are literally hundreds of ways to make money using the Internet, however, in terms of what we do — web site design and development — I sum them up into these four methods:

1. Product or Service Sales
2. Subscriptions
3. Affiliate Programs
4. Ad Income (such as AdSense)

I’m always on the look out for the most effective & efficient web sites that use one, two or even all of those methods.

In my next series of blog posts, we’ll cover each one of those methods, and give examples of some of the most successful sites I’ve found.
